The Municipality of North Kynouria in cooperation with the Cultural Association of Sitina organize the 1st Mushroom Festival.

The inhabitants of Sitaina have been avid mushroom pickers for many centuries, choosing mainly the "moths", the "paddles" and above all the martinis, which they anxiously searched for every spring in Magoula, in Prinari, Garozis', Mavrovouni's, Pavliousis', Chalkiopoulos' and many other places, mushroom habitats of the forest of Sitina.

During the festival visitors will have the opportunity to:

- Learn about the world-kingdom of mushrooms.

- To participate in mushroom picking groups (mainly martini mushrooms) in the Parnonas forest under the supervision and guidance of experienced guides and experts.

- To get to know and experience the spring magic of Parnonas, Sitina and the neighbouring villages.

- To enjoy unique tastes and mushroom recipes from an expert chef, as well as traditional tastes and recipes of the women of the Association.
